The Albia Community High School greenhouse, operated as part of the ag program and FFA, will begin their annual spring plant sale on Saturday April 27.
The greenhouse is located in the north parking lot at the high school just north of the football field.
Regular hours this spring will be Saturday mornings 8 a.m.-Noon, Mondays 4-7 p.m., and Thursdays 4-7 p.m.
"We have a nice selection of annuals this spring. There are several varieties of tomatoes and peppers as well." commented instructor Daryl Schofield.
The Horticulture class has been busy this spring transplanting plugs, making baskets and containers, and making improvements in the greenhouse.
The greenhouse will also have seed for sale this year as well.
"The biggest improvement this year in what we are offering is the variety of succulents that we have available. We have 20 plus different succulents available this year that can be purchased individually or in pre-made containers," stated Schofield.
The greenhouse will also be offering planting services on Saturday mornings. Bring your containers in and students will pot them for you.
