Absentee ballots are now available for eligible residents interested in voting in the City Elections to be held Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Absentee request forms and ballots are available in the Monroe County Auditor’s Office during regular office hours (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m). The deadline to request and vote an absentee ballot in person at the Auditor’s Office is Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at 11 am.

Absentee request forms are available in the Auditor’s Office or on the County’s website, www.monroecoia.us, and may be used to request an absentee ballot by mail. The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is Friday, Nov. 3. Absentee ballots returned by mail must be postmarked no later than Nov. 6, and received by noon on Nov. 13.

Please be aware that in the coming weeks there will be sidewalk repairs around the courthouse building, so plan to use the east or south entrances to access the Auditor’s Office on the second floor.

For further information, please contact Amanda R. Harlan, Monroe County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections, at (641) 932-2865 or aharlan@monroecoia.us.
