Gloria Crail

Gloria Darlene (Cramer) Crail died Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Winslow House Care Center in Marion.

She was born Dec. 9, 1928, the daughter of Victor Pearl Cramer and Margery Audrey (Pauley) Cramer of Albia. She married Calvin L Crail on Feb. 28, 1948, and they just celebrated their 71st anniversary. Calvin and Gloria resided in Fort Madison most of their married life and lived the last 12 years in Cedar Falls, where they were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Gloria was very active at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Madison and the Fort Madison Historical Society. She donated countless hours to both as well as many other community organizations.

Gloria also did extensive genealogical research on both sides of the family leaving a wonderful legacy for all her family.

Survived by her loving husband Calvin, 92, and their six daughters, Roxanna Crail of Fort Madison, Dorinda Pounds (Tom) of Cedar Falls, Arlanda Crail (Greg Silvey) of Olympia, Wash., Kimbra Wilson of Fort Madison, Jolene Westland (Don) of Ketchikan, Alaska, and Letitia Williams (Dan Poggenpohl) of Robins; seven grandchildren, Carissa Williamson (Scott), Jessica Jaggers (Dereck), Colleen McClinton, Nathan Wilson (Tabetha), Jason Crail, Robert Williams (Amy), and Crailen Silvey; and nine great-grandchildren.
