Milton Wayne Ocker (1942-2019)

Celebration of Life services for Milton Wayne Ocker will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, at the Henderson Christian Church in Henderson.

Milton Wayne Ocker was born Sept. 22, 1942 in Centerville, to George W. Ocker and Mildred I. Jordon Ocker. Wayne grew up in Albia. Wayne married his first wife, Lillian Millemon in February of 1964. They were blessed with two daughters, Kimberly Ocker and Terri Pilcher (Chuck), and a son, Rodney Ocker (Natalie). All reside in Hot Springs, Ark. Wayne then married Carol Story on Sept. 4, 1979, enjoying nearly 40 years of marriage. He was once again blessed with a step daughter, Tammy May (Mike) of Lincoln, Neb., three step sons, Ronald Story (Priscilla) of Elk Horn, Michael Story (Paula) of Henderson, and Tyran Story (Darcy) of Hastings. Wayne has been blessed with 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Wayne passed away peacefully in his sleep at Tammy’s home in Lincoln where Carol and he planned to move.

Also surviving are Sanuel E. Ocker of Prairie City and Rosalie A. Turner (Dave) of Gilbert, a brother-in-law, Paul Downing, Sr. of Pacific Junction, and three sisters-in-law, Barbara Ocker, LaVonne Ocker and Mary Robb.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary E. Downing of Pacific Junction, and five brothers, George E. Ocker, William J. Ocker, Claude F. Ocker, Ray Robb, Jr. and A. Lee Ocker.
