The 22nd annual Albia Junior Golf Championship was held on Monday, July 29 at Albia Country Club with 16 golfers competing in seven different age groups.

In the 12-13 year old boys division, Connor Fisher shot 35 over six holes from the white tees to outlast Cael Schofield by three shots. Kervin Veasley had 40 for third place, Cooper Bradley had 43 for fourth place and Trent Hindman had 59 to round out the group.

The boys 11-12 year old division was won by Logan Bricker with a 33 over five holes. Kameron Veasley shot 41 for runner-up and Cole Wilson had 49. Brody Thomas collected the trophy in the boys 8-9 year old division with a 27 over five holes. Grant Wilson was the runner-up with a 44.

Emma Bradley was the 14-15 girls champion with a 42 over five holes and Lucy Hassinen was the 12-13 year old girls champion with a 37 in five holes.

First place trophies went to Aubrey Fisher with a 44 over five holes as she defeated Audrey Zaputil by seven shots and Katie Judge narrowly defeated Piper Boley by two shots to win the 6-7 year old girls division.

A total of 22 golfers participated over nine weeks of league play.
