The Lady Dee track team traveled to Bloomfield to participate in the Davis County Invitational on Tuesday.
Albia got a solid performance from Haleigh McDonald in field events as she took second in the shot put (30’07.5”) and seventh in the discus (69’11.5”). In the individual running events Ayana Thomas placed eighth in the 100m dash (15.6) and Brooklyn Powless placed ninth (15.37). Marissa Terrell placed ninth in the 200m dash (31.41) and Powless placed 10th (31.75). Sherryl Mae Rowe placed fifth in the 800m run (2:48.43) and Taylee Wolfer placed seventh in the 100m hurdles (20.21).
In the relays Albia’s 4x100 team two (Brooklyn Leshen, Ella Teno, Lauren Bayer, Haleigh McDonald) placed sixth in 58.9 and team one (Sara Pistek, Becca Pistek, Ellie Spurgin, Tahylor Terrell) placed seventh in 1:01.78. The 4x200 team one (Allison Major, Ayana Thomas, Ellie Martin, Marrisa Terrell) placed third in 2:01.07 while team two (Brooke Smith, Emma Martin, Ellie Martin, Becca Pistek) placed seventh in 2:09.47.
The 4x800 team (Brooke Smith, Emma Martin, Ellie Martin, Becca Pistek) took second in 11:33.19. The sprint medley team one (Brooklyn Leshen, Ella Teno, Tahylor Terrell, Allison Major) placed sixth in 2:12.29 and team two (Taylee, Wolfer, Lauren Bayer, Haleigh McDonald, Sara Pistek) placed seventh in 2:19.06. The distance medley team (Taylee Wolfer, Sara Pistek, Sherryl Mae Rowe, Tahylor Terrell) placed third in 5:16.79.
The Lady Dees will travel to Mt. Pleasant on Thursday.
