Albia A

The Albia Blue Demon Archers hosted their first home tournament last weekend. This is the first year Albia had a 3D gym. The coaches made the decision to have all archers shoot in both the block and 3D tournaments. “We don’t have the targets to host 3D, let alone practice on a weekly basis. So, when the Iowa DNR has an open trailer for your team to check out and use free of charge, you take advantage of it,” said Coach Brad Demoss.

All three teams shot really well at 3D. The high school shot a 1655 and finished second out of six teams. The Middle school team shot a 1559 and finished second out of six teams and the elementary school team shot a 1465 for first out of three teams. “We couldn’t be prouder of the way our archers stepped out of their comfort zones and shot really well.”
