Paul and Nikki Ammons were married in 1974 and have been long time supporters of the 4-H program in Monroe County. Paul got involved at a young age raising hogs. He once had a winning hog named Sally that he just could not part with at the fair auction which ended up to be a good decision as she did go on to raise more purple ribbon winning litters for him.

Paul and Nikki raised their family and instilled a strong respect for 4-H and what it offers in their kids. Collette, Ronda, Annie, and Luke all were involved and members of the local Georgetown Shamrocks 4-H Club. Paul and Nikki spent many hours hauling kids to 4-H meetings and events. Memories of their growing family preparing for start of the county fair included new recipes in the kitchen and a lot of barn time.

Nikki shares her great kitchen skills still to this day offering baked items for the auctions that raise funds for graduating senior scholarships. Paul is a long time member of the Monroe County Fair Board and spent many hours working as a dedicated Swine Superintendent. Paul and Nikki raised their family and lived by the 4-H creed over the years and continue to offer their head, heart, hands, and health to the local Monroe County 4-H program.
