For public record, the accounting firm of Seim Johnson, LLP released an audit report on Monroe County Hospital, on June 8.

The Health Center's unrestricted operating revenue totaled $29,057,583 for the year ended June 30, 2022, a 19.6% increase from the prior year. Total operating revenue included $27,135,052 in net patient service revenue and $1,922,531 in other operating revenue. Net nonoperating revenues were $6,173,395; which was comprised of $1,624,310 in county tax revenue; $5,007,103 in noncapital grants and contributions, primarily CARES Act Provider Relief and Paycheck Protection Program loan forgiveness; $51,133 in net investment income; and interest expense of $509,151.

Operating expenses for the year totaled $29,318,284, a 14.7% increase from the prior year, and included $14,881,774 for salaries and employee benefits; $6,870,741 for supplies and other expenses; $4,836,758 for purchased services and professional fees; and $1,376,816 for depreciation and amortization.
