Monroe County Courthouse

In an attempt to maintain continuity of operations for Monroe County and limit potential exposure due to the Corona Virus/COVID-19, the Monroe County Courthouse and County Facilities will have restricted access to the public, beginning March 18. Essential services can be made by appointment. Please contact the departments below for more direction.

Upon the recommendations of the CDC and Public Health, some additional restrictions have been put in place. The Monroe County Public Health Department is not currently providing homemaker services or foot clinics. The Sheriff’s Office is not accepting visitors for inmates, though attorneys are still allowed. The Treasurer’s Office is not offering drive tests until further notice and written testing will be on a case by case basis. Property tax payments and motor vehicle renewals can be mailed, placed in the lobby’s drop box or paid online at

These restrictions are based on information relating to the Proclamation of Disaster Declaration by order of Governor Reynolds and consultation with Monroe County Public Health, as well recommendations of the CDC and IPH.
