A 29-year old Pella man was killed in a single vehicle crash just north of Albia on Wednesday, March 15 at approximately 11:30 p.m. according to a report from the Iowa State Patrol.
Michael Hurley Raper was driving southbound on Highway 137 when his 2007 Honda Ridgeline went off the left side of the road, struck the ditch and went airborne, before rolling over.
Raper was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident happened just south of the intersection of Highway 137 and 655th Avenue, about four miles north of Albia. Raper’s vehicle was transported to Adams Auto Body and Raper was transported from the scene by Monroe County EMS.
