The Monroe County Board of Supervisors approved the reclassification of 730th Avenue in Pleasant Township from Level A to Level C after a public hearing during their May 18 meeting. There were no written or verbal objections to the proposed change during the hearing.

The board then once again looked at a request from court personnel regarding installation of new electronic equipment in the courtroom. Supervisors approved new microphones contingent on them being wireless.

The board approved a liquor license for the Albia Chamber of Commerce in order to sell liquor at the rodeo held at the fairgrounds June 4-5.

The board then approved a resolution to adopt the ADLM Regional Multi-Jurisdiction Local Hazardous Mitigation Plan. The plan will be finalized and then sent to the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA for final approval.

The board also approved a support letter declaring May 2021 Mental Health Month in the state of Iowa.
