On May 22 the Albia trap team took 24 shooters to Bloomfield to compete in a quadrangular against Davis County, Centerville and Moravia. A total of 150 athletes competed.
Shooting for the Albia varsity were Caleb Folkerts, 46, Colton Hammons 35, Landon Rozenboom 43, Payton Rubel 41 and Dillon Tyrrel 36, for a team score of 184 out of 250.
Shooting on the JV was Emma Bradley who won the JV women’s event with a 45. Carson Tometich shot 43, Carson Rankin 31, Rebecca Little 31 and Wyatt Sinclair 34 with the team finishing third with 184.
Shooting JV#2 were Reed Faber 43, Tray Murphy 48, Carter Kosman 36, Isaac Schroeder 48 and Brianna Wolfer 40. The won the team event shooting 215 out of 250. Murphy and Schroeder tied for first place individually with Murphy hitting one perfect 25-clay round.
In the Intermediate Division, the squad of Cooper Bradley 46, Barrett Carman 41, Ryan Little 44, Trent Hindman 41 and Carter Folkerts 34 remained unbeaten on the season shooting a 206. Bradley was the first place individual and Little was second.
Intermediate #2 finished third with just four shooters, scoring a 155. Members were Tyler Carter 42, Gunner Thomas 40, Treydon Hess 40 and Eli Hilton 33.
Albia ended the day with two first place team medals, two thirds, two individual first and a second.
